Clear expectations protect the author and the work
These website terms provide general guidance. Each accepted publishing project is governed by a separate written agreement.
Invitation and acceptance
A request for consideration does not guarantee acceptance and does not create a publisher-author relationship. Either party may decline to proceed before signing a written agreement.
Private proposals
Services, schedules, responsibilities, fees, payment terms, rights, and deliverables are defined in a project-specific proposal and engagement agreement.
Author ownership and permissions
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of submitted material and for securing required permissions. Ownership and licensed rights are stated in the written engagement agreement.
Confidentiality
We treat inquiries, manuscripts, and project information with discretion. Project-specific confidentiality obligations may be stated in the engagement agreement or a separate confidentiality agreement.
